A Little About Me and What I Do :)

”The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web.” -- Picasso.

About me: Mostly, I love to create. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys and they are my constant inspiration and the loves of my life.

I'm inspired by nature; light, shadow, color—by the sound of the wind in the trees or the beauty of a sunset or dancing dappled shade. Moonlight on the water, or shining on my floor through an open window. The magical glow of candlelight.

I love fairies and mermaids and mythology and fairytales. Beautiful vintage fabrics and trims—silks, velvets, laces, ribbons. Dried flowers. Anything victorian. The Renaissance. All things gypsy and bohemian. The Pre-Raphaelites and Art Nouveau.

I love music and I love to dance. I love to dress up, and I love to pretend. I don't think I will ever lose my childlike enthusiasm for life, or my belief that anything is possible.

All of these I suppose find their way either directly or indirectly into my art, and to really get an idea of me, I suppose that is what I should share with you here, for it's definitely where my soul finds it's expression :)

"Unfold your own myth." --Rumi

Since this is a blog about creativity and romantic living, I thought a good place to begin would be to share some of my all time favorite images—a few things that light me up and inspire me to pursue my own romantic life and "Unfold my own myth". I hope you enjoy them as much as I do :)
